We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Media & Communications Lead to join our small but dedicated team in Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to amplify the impact of ground-breaking legal work in international justice and human rights.

Reporting to the Executive Director/Principal Lawyer, you will lead ACIJ’s communications strategy across all program areas, working to increase public understanding of international justice issues and build support for accountability mechanisms in Australia.

You will generate meaningful earned media outcomes – securing editorial coverage and interviews that effectively communicate the impact of international crimes and the importance of accountability. You will build and maintain relationships with media outlets to ensure our cases, legal developments, and advocacy work receive the attention they deserve.

You will be ensuring ACIJ maintains a clear, confident, and consistent voice across all communication channels. This includes managing our social media presence and working with partner organisations to maximise the reach and impact of communications around international justice initiatives.

This is a 12-month part-time contract position and is based in Sydney.
