The Australian Centre for International Justice has responded to a further review of the Australian Citizenship cessation provisions following introduction of the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Citizenship Cessation) Bill 2019 and a review of this Bill by the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security. 

In this shorter submission, the ACIJ continues to object to the provisions and highlight concerns regarding Australia’s duty to investigate and prosecute Australians suspected of involvement in international crimes.
